Recommandations

Catherine was very helpful in the recent renovation of our basement. Her advice in the selection of paint colour for walls, and ceilings was particularly useful as we were incorporating original tiles in some areas. The light gray and bright white paint she suggested gave the area(s) a bright, more spacious appearance.
Hanging ceilings in the family room and office were replaced by regular ceilings with inserted LED lighting.  Catherine choice of lighting and placement of the lights resulted in much brighter rooms and the 6” – 7” gain in height made the rooms appear larger as well as brighter.  
Carpeting on the stairs and family room was replaced with new floor cover. Catherine was able to provide samples and the pros and cons for each type of floor covering available.  We are very pleased with the choices we made based on her experience.
The bathroom required by far the most work. We kept the original tiles on the walls and floors so new items had to coordinate with the colour of the original tiles.  Catherine provided us with samples to choose from and the locations of stores which provided the items needed.
Renovations done in a pandemic has its challenges and Catherine herself drove to Laval to obtain the new shower doors.  We were able to find the rest of the items at local suppliers but the measurements had to line up with the space available and work had to be coordinated with the painters, plumbers, electrician and the contractor’s crew.  Not to mention the availability of stock in the stores.  It all came together in the end result is a whole new bathroom. Very much an improvement over the original in both function and design.
I have no difficulty in recommending Catherine as a designer.
